Couples who choose Scorpios Bodrum as their wedding venue aren’t looking for a classic hotel wedding. This isn’t about ballrooms, chair covers and a by-the-book five-course menu – it’s about a feeling. Bohemian luxury, natural materials, candlelight, sunset over the Aegean and a sound that sits somewhere between ritual and afterparty.

I’m Büsra Deniz-Sicak, founder of Kaipo Weddings and wedding planner for luxury destination weddings in Türkiye, Italy and Greece – and Bodrum is a true heart destination for us. At Scorpios we created a complete wedding design – and dug deeper than ever before. In this article we’ll show you not only what a wedding at Scorpios Bodrum can look like, but also how we think when we develop a concept for a destination wedding in Türkiye. And at the end we talk openly about prices and budget. Let’s dive in!

Scorpios Bodrum: More than a beach club – a wedding venue with soul

Scorpios is actually a Mykonos legend. Founded on the Greek island in 2015, the brand quickly became synonymous with a very particular way of celebrating: barefoot, unhurried, with DJ sets at sunset and an aesthetic that doesn’t shout luxury but lives it. In 2024 Bodrum became its first outpost outside Greece – and the first where you can also stay overnight.

What sets Scorpios apart from other beach clubs? The brand doesn’t see itself as just a party venue, but as a place for rituals, community and wellbeing. That’s exactly what makes Scorpios Bodrum such an exciting wedding venue – and exactly what your design should embrace instead of working against it. No wonder Scorpios Bodrum is so popular with international couples – especially Russian and American couples looking for a luxury wedding venue by the sea that doesn’t feel like a hotel.

Ritual Space: The spa area at Scorpios Bodrum as a ceremony venue

Ritual Space isn’t a classic event area – and it has nothing to do with the bar or the beach club. Ritual Space is the spa area of Scorpios Bodrum: the place where sound healing sessions, yoga and classes take place – a contemporary temple of stone, wood and light, with a reflecting pool and clean lines. A space built for silence, sound and mindfulness. Which makes it the perfect place for a ceremony that doesn’t feel staged, but ceremonial.

Sound Healing: Why a handpan played at the ceremony at Scorpios

Because Ritual Space is really a place for sound healing, we wanted to bring exactly that into the ceremony. Instead of a string quartet, a handpan took centre stage – an instrument that is itself used in sound healing. Meditative, warm, almost hypnotic. Music wasn’t background here, but part of the ritual. And it’s details like these that make the difference between “beautiful” and “unforgettable”.

Luxury Wedding Design at Scorpios Bodrum: Couple, Place & Destination

For us, a concept is more than a colour or a mood board. We think of every wedding in layers: What does the couple tell us? What does the place tell us? And what does the destination tell us? Only when all three layers interlock does a design emerge that doesn’t feel decorated, but grown.

IThe coupleWho are the two of them, where do they come from, what does their story say? The first layer is always personal.
IIThe placeWhat is the venue’s DNA? At Scorpios: Ritual Space, sound healing, natural materials and earthy tones.
IIIThe destinationWhat exists only here? In Türkiye: 22-carat Trabzon gold, the darbuka and the coffee of the Ottomans.

Scorpios Bodrum as part of the design

Instead of treating the venue as a neutral stage, we made the venue itself part of the design. We picked up the natural brown tones and nature-inspired materials of Ritual Space – and let 5.5-metre-long brown fabric panels fall straight down from the building’s architecture. Venue and design merge into one, instead of simply existing side by side.

The table stayed in exactly the same tones: table linen in earthy shades, ceramics, candles, sculptural greenery – right by the temple’s reflecting pool, where architecture and light are mirrored. The colour palette runs all the way through to the stationery – nothing is random, everything belongs together.

Destination Wedding in Bodrum: Türkiye, reimagined

Many couples come to Bodrum with mood boards full of Italy. Understandable – but honestly, that way you give away the best a destination wedding in Türkiye has to offer. Our approach was the opposite: the same aesthetic and production quality as in Italy, but with elements that only exist here. Not in a classic way, but redefined in a modern way.

22-carat Trabzon gold

The bride wore a set of 22-carat Trabzon gold – a jewellery craft that is made in this form only in Türkiye. 22-carat gold is deeply rooted in Turkish wedding culture. But we didn’t stage it traditionally – we styled it clean, editorial and paired with contemporary bridal fashion. Something deeply cultural – redefined.

Darbuka meets Afro House

For the afterparty we brought in the darbuka – the drum of the Turkish rhythm tradition. Percussion artist Ceren Özdemir played it together with the African djembe, practically at the same time – and not to traditional music, but to Afro House. An instrument of Turkish origin, in a completely modern context. Seriously next level when the dance floor first realises what’s happening.

Coffee beans – an Ottoman legacy

The third element: coffee. It’s said that the Ottomans brought coffee to Vienna – so coffee is really an Ottoman legacy. That’s why we wove coffee beans into the entire design: on the tables in the table setting, on the ceremony floor around the chandeliers and as part of the dessert table with Turkish coffee.

All in all, the result was a design that is high-end, extraordinary – and has never been seen like this before. But above all: a fully coherent concept in which every detail has a reason.

The perfect wedding day at Scorpios Bodrum

This is what a day at Scorpios can look like – from getting ready to the last Afro House track.

Getting ready with a sea view

Start slow. Scorpios is all about slowing down – and that’s exactly how your morning should feel. Champagne, pyjamas in the wedding colour palette, glam without time pressure.

Ceremony in Ritual Space at golden hour

Plan the ceremony for when the light turns soft but hasn’t gone yet. Golden hour in the temple is a moment no decor in the world can replace.

Less is more. The venue brings so much atmosphere that overloaded centrepieces will only work against you. Focus on textures, light and a consistent colour palette.

Afterparty at Scorpios

Once the sun is gone, it’s Scorpios time. Plan a seamless transition from dinner to party – with percussion, a DJ and music that builds the mood, instead of switching the lights on hard at 10 pm.

Wedding Weekend at Scorpios Bodrum – what three days could look like

A wedding at Scorpios Bodrum – or a “Scorpios Bodrum wedding”, as many international couples search for it – really comes into its own when you plan not just one day but an entire wedding weekend. Every area has its own character – and you can use exactly that to give each day its own mood. One idea of how it could look:

Day 1: Get-together on the Sunset Terrace

On the evening before the wedding, you meet your guests up on the Sunset Terrace. Meze, drinks, music and a sunset over the bay – relaxed, no programme, but with a vibe that makes it instantly clear what this weekend is going to be.

Day 2: The wedding on the Beach Deck – or in Ritual Space

The big day: ceremony and dinner on the Beach Deck right by the water – or, if you prefer something more ceremonial, the ceremony in Ritual Space followed by dinner and party by the sea.

Day 3: Yacht party from the Beach Deck

On the third day, you and your guests are picked up by a yacht right at the Beach Deck – for a yacht party in the bays around Bodrum. Swimming, sun, a DJ on deck and a relaxed finale your guests will be talking about for a long time.

Indian Wedding at Scorpios Bodrum – Mehndi, Sangeet & Pheras by the sea

A question we get more and more often: can you celebrate an Indian wedding at Scorpios Bodrum? Yes – and honestly, Scorpios suits it better than you might think at first. Indian weddings span several days and are full of rituals, music and colour. And a place that sees itself as a space for rituals is a pretty exciting stage for exactly that.

A timeless backdrop

This is how we could bring an Indian wedding to life at Scorpios Bodrum:

Mehndi & Haldi in the garden

Relaxed, during the day, with cushions, rugs and lots of light. The earthy aesthetic of Scorpios pairs beautifully with marigold yellow and warm spice tones – modern, not kitschy.

Pheras in Ritual Space

The ceremony in the temple, with a mandap instead of a wedding arch. This is exactly where it gets exciting to reinterpret traditions – just as we did with the Trabzon gold. Important: elements such as a fire ritual must be agreed with and approved by the venue in advance.

Sangeet as the afterparty

Bollywood meets Afro House? Why not. Live percussion, dhol, DJ – Scorpios is made for nights that go on and on.

On top of that come topics like vegetarian catering, a baraat entrance and accommodation for many guests – for an Indian destination wedding in Türkiye, it’s best to plan a three-day wedding weekend from the very start.

Accommodation at Scorpios Bodrum: Villas, Maxx Royal & hotels for your guests

Scorpios Bodrum had 12 villas of its own – since early 2026, however, they have been owned by neighbouring Maxx Royal. They can still be booked, though, and for the couple or close family they are of course a dream.

For your guests there are two options: at Maxx Royal Bodrum, group rates may be possible depending on dates and number of rooms. Alternatively, we look for other hotels near the venue – depending on budget, guest mix and the vibe you want for your wedding weekend. What matters is that distances stay short and the transfer to the venue is planned from the very beginning.

Logistics at Scorpios Bodrum – why professionals are essential here

What many people underestimate: the logistics at Scorpios Bodrum are extremely demanding. The trucks for building your setting can only enter the grounds at night – and have to leave again at night. That means the entire setting – drapes, furniture, florals, lighting, technology – has to be delivered precisely within a very tight time window.

Even the smallest delay can jeopardise the entire set-up schedule. That’s exactly why it’s so important that weddings like these are handled by professionals – with a wedding planner who knows the venue and suppliers who know exactly how to work under these conditions. As a wedding planner in Bodrum, we coordinate these night-time set-ups down to the minute.

Typical mistakes at a wedding at Scorpios Bodrum – and how to avoid them

Not clarifying exclusivity

Scorpios is a beach club that stays open to the public. Whether and which areas you can book exclusively depends heavily on the season and the day of the week – clarify this as early as possible.

Underestimating light

The atmosphere lives on light. Candles alone aren’t enough after sunset – skimp here and you’ll have beautiful photos until 8 pm and only black images afterwards.

Forgetting the wind

The Aegean is beautiful – but windy. Drapes, candles and open structures have to be designed for it. And yes: you always need a plan B.

Overdesign

The most common mistake: too much. Too many flowers, too many colours, too many ideas. Scorpios is already a statement in itself – your design should amplify it, not drown it out.

How much does a wedding at Scorpios Bodrum cost? Luxury wedding budget & reality check

Now it gets concrete. For catering at Scorpios Bodrum, you can expect prices from around €280 per person. On top of that come rental fees for the individual areas – and these depend heavily on when and where your wedding takes place.

Cateringfrom approx. €280 p. p.
Rental fee per area · high seasonapprox. €5,000 – 10,000
Rental fee · off-seasonsignificantly lower
Recommended budget · one-day wedding · approx. 80 guestsfrom €120,000
Recommended budget · multi-day wedding · approx. 80 guestsfrom €160,000

Our honest recommendation: plan your wedding at Scorpios outside high season. It’s generally the better choice – not only because of the light and the more pleasant temperatures, but above all because the rental fees for the areas are significantly lower. In high season, €5,000 to 10,000 per area can quickly be added on top.

Overall, we recommend a budget from €120,000 for a one-day wedding at Scorpios Bodrum, and from €160,000 for a multi-day wedding – for example with a welcome dinner, wedding day and pool party, or a three-day Indian wedding. Both figures are starting prices and are based on a wedding with around 80 guests. Everything is included – from venue and catering to design, florals, technology, lighting and entertainment. The only things not included are the wedding dress, suit, rings, shoes and the wedding planner fee. And of course, there’s no upper limit.

In the free consultation, we create a budget plan together with you that is tailored specifically to your expectations and priorities – for your guest count, your date and your concept.

Scorpios Bodrum closed? The latest update

As of: November 2026

Scorpios Bodrum closed in early July 2026, in the middle of the season – and did not reopen this season. The background is a dispute with neighbouring Maxx Royal, its local partner: after the terms of the partnership were to be changed, Scorpios was gradually restricted to the point where it could no longer guarantee its quality – and therefore had to close.

What happens next is still uncertain. We very much hope Scorpios will reopen next season – and above all that it comes back under its own name. But that isn’t certain yet.
