Bodrum. Turquoise water, sunsets that look painted, yachts in every bay – and a vibe somewhere between Mykonos and the Côte d’Azur. When you think of a wedding in Bodrum, you probably have exactly these images in mind. And yes, they really exist here.
But a wedding in Bodrum can be so much more than a beautiful evening by the sea. Bodrum is made for a wedding weekend – three days in which your guests don’t just celebrate, but go on holiday, swim, sail on yachts and fall in love all over again every evening. With the Aegean, with the venue, with your concept.
As wedding planners, we’re showing you today what that can look like with one of our weddings from June 2026: three days in Bodrum, 58 guests from Dubai, Russia, Switzerland and Japan – and a concept called “Circle of Love”. Plus, you’ll get all the options Bodrum offers for your luxury wedding and our favourite alternative wedding venues. Let’s dive in!
Wedding in Bodrum: Why the Aegean is made for a wedding weekend
Real talk: as a wedding planner, we can tell you – there’s hardly a destination as perfect for a wedding weekend as Bodrum. Why? Because your guests aren’t just travelling to a wedding, they’re travelling to a holiday. Swimming in turquoise water in the morning, beach club at noon, yacht in the afternoon, wedding in the evening. That’s hardly possible in any city destination.

- Holiday feeling: beaches, bays and water you just jump into.
- Sunsets: Bodrum has some of the most beautiful sunsets in the Aegean – perfect for ceremony and dinner.
- Yachts & bays: a yacht party is practically part of the deal here.
- Luxury at an international level: hotels like Mandarin Oriental, EDITION or Amanruya – and venues that only exist here.
- International guests: Bodrum is equally popular with guests from Europe, Russia, the Middle East and the US.
Not all of Bodrum is the same: Which area suits you?
The Bodrum peninsula is bigger than many people think – and every bay has its own character. For your wedding in Bodrum, it makes a huge difference where you celebrate.
Yalıkavak: Marina, glamour & sunset
Yalıkavak is the hotspot for anyone who likes it glamorous. The marina is one of the most exclusive in Turkey, surrounded by restaurants, boutiques and yachts. And because Yalıkavak is on the west side of the peninsula, you get the best sunsets here. That’s exactly why we chose Yalıkavak for our wedding.
Türkbükü & Göltürkbükü: Jet set and beach clubs
In the north of the peninsula is the area where Istanbul’s high society meets in summer. Wooden piers, beach clubs, Bodrum chic – perfect for a wedding with a party vibe right on the water.
Torba: Quiet, elegant & close to the airport
Torba is close to the centre and the quickest to reach from the airport. Here you’ll find large luxury hotels and a marina from which yachts set off into the bays.
Bodrum centre & Bitez: Charm and short distances
Around the centre, with its castle, harbour and old town, there are venues overlooking historic Bodrum. Perfect if your guests want to stroll through the streets in the evening.
Wedding venues in Bodrum: Beach club, hotel, villa or hillside?
In Bodrum you basically have four types of wedding venues – and each one completely changes the character of your wedding. It’s one of the first questions we clarify with every couple as a wedding planner in Bodrum:
- Beach clubs: barefoot, relaxed, partying late into the night – but often open to other guests at the same time.
- Luxury hotels: top-level service, rooms for your guests right on site, clear processes.
- Private villas: maximum privacy and design freedom – but more logistics.
- Hillside venues: less beach, but sweeping views over the bays and the best sunsets.
Our wedding took place at a hillside venue: Ailla Yalıkavak, a boutique hotel with a 270-degree view over Yalıkavak bay. Small, modern, with a terrace and a garden that become simply magical at sunset.

Our wedding weekend in Bodrum: Three days, one experience
At this destination wedding in Bodrum, the focus wasn’t the wedding itself, but the experience: how does this weekend feel for every single guest? That’s exactly how we, as wedding planners, built the three days.
Day 1: Get-together at Scorpios Bodrum
The kick-off took place at Scorpios Bodrum – with meze, drinks and a sunset over the bay. Relaxed, no programme, but with exactly the vibe that instantly made clear to every guest what this weekend was going to be. A small note: Scorpios is currently closed – you can read why in our article on the wedding at Scorpios Bodrum.

Day 2: Ceremony on the terrace, reception in the garden
A circle of white flowers, crystal chandeliers above the couple and Yalıkavak bay behind them. The bride walked down the aisle with her mother – and when the officiant spoke of the “Circle of Love”, the circle closed in the literal sense too.

Then it was off to the garden: live sets from the band, speeches, napkins in the air – and a sunset that arrived right on time for the main course. Timing doesn’t get better than that.

Day 3: Yacht party from Torba Marina
On the last day, everyone headed out onto the water: a yacht party from Torba Marina, out into the bays around Bodrum. Swimming, sun, music on deck – the perfect finale for a wedding weekend that felt like a holiday for the guests right to the very end.

Circle of Love: How a wedding design without colour works
The bride wanted a classic white wedding. No colourful palette – restrained in colour, but anything but ordinary in concept. And that’s exactly where it gets exciting: when colour steps back, form has to speak.
For this couple, the circle became the signature of the entire weekend. The ceremony setting was arranged in a circle, so was the reception setting in the garden – and the dance floor was a circle too.

One single tone, countless textures: white roses and hydrangeas, crystal chandeliers above the ceremony, silver and mirrors on the tables, stationery in white and green. Restrained in colour – maximal in effect.

Local elements, reimagined
A champagne tower – filled with olives. Meze instead of finger food. And a beer pong table with a very personal connection to the groom. It’s details like these that turn a beautiful wedding into one that feels like the couple and like Bodrum.

Entertainment at a wedding in Bodrum
This weekend, music wasn’t background but dramaturgy. A five-piece band from Italy played live at dinner and later at the party – turning the garden into a dance floor that stayed full until late into the night.

Destination wedding in Bodrum: Guests from all over the world
The couple lives in Dubai, and the 58 guests came from Dubai, Russia, Switzerland and Japan. That’s exactly where Bodrum becomes really strong as a destination for a destination wedding: it works for almost every group of guests.
- Guests from Dubai and the Middle East: a short flight, familiar hospitality – and still a completely different setting from home.
- Russian wedding in Bodrum: for many Russian couples, Bodrum is the perfect alternative to Europe. No Schengen visa, short flights and an aesthetic that can keep up with Italy or Greece.
- Indian wedding in Bodrum: multi-day celebrations with Mehndi, Sangeet and lots of guests are a perfect fit for the peninsula’s large luxury hotels.
- American couples and guests: via Istanbul, Bodrum is easy to reach from many US cities – and the combination of a wedding and an Aegean holiday is unbeatable for American guests.
- Guests from Europe: in high season there are direct flights from many cities – Bodrum is then just a few hours away.
Alternative wedding venues in Bodrum: Our favourites
Love the idea of a wedding in Bodrum, but looking for a different vibe? As a wedding planner in Bodrum, we know the peninsula’s venues first-hand. Bodrum has an incredible choice of wedding venues. Here are some of our favourites – you’ll find the full list in our 12 top wedding venues in Bodrum.
Maçakızı Hotel
Laid-back, elegant and effortlessly cool. Right on the water in Türkbükü, with white daybeds, wooden piers and an atmosphere somewhere between the Côte d’Azur and Bodrum chic. Perfect for a sundowner ceremony on the pier and a party that feels like a high-society summer night.
Villa Maçakızı
A private wedding venue that looks more like a designer villa in Malibu than a classic venue. No other hotel guests, just you and your loved ones – with infinity pools and views of the deep-blue Aegean.
Amanruya
No beach club, no loud glamour – but an almost mystical oasis in the hills. Private stone pavilions, olive groves and a calm you rarely find anywhere else. Perfect for an intimate, understated and elegant luxury wedding.
The Bodrum EDITION
Clean, curated luxury instead of chandeliers and columns. Modern design, a team that delivers events at a world-class level, and private villas with their own pools – ideal for a wedding weekend with your guests.
Mandarin Oriental Bodrum
Ultra-luxury with private beaches, huge terraces and villas that feel like estates. From an intimate celebration by the water to a big wedding with several hundred guests, everything is possible here – perfect for an Indian wedding with lots of guests, too.
Değirmen 81
A wedding with a view: a restored windmill on a hill above Bodrum, overlooking the sea and the harbour. For couples looking for a venue with character and a wow factor.

Logistics for a wedding in Bodrum: What to look out for
Getting there and transfers
Milas-Bodrum airport is on the east side of the peninsula. Torba is close by, while Yalıkavak or Türkbükü take around an hour. Plan your guests’ transfers from the very start – especially when they arrive at different times from different countries.
Accommodation for your guests
Not every wedding venue has enough rooms for all guests. As wedding planners, we often combine a main hotel with villas or other hotels nearby – and organise shuttles between all the spots.
Wind and plan B
The Aegean is beautiful, but windy. Drapes, candles and open structures have to be designed for it. And yes: you always need a plan B.
Curfews and music
Many venues in Bodrum have rules for music and volume after a certain time. Clarify early how long the party can go on – and where it can continue afterwards.
How much does a wedding in Bodrum cost?
It depends heavily on the venue, season and number of guests. For a luxury wedding with its own concept, we recommend a guideline budget from €120,000 for a one-day wedding and from €160,000 for a multi-day wedding with around 80 guests – including everything except dress, suit, rings, shoes and the wedding planner fee. And of course, there’s no upper limit.
Reality check: Our wedding weekend in Bodrum
To give you a feel for it: the wedding you see in the photos – three days with a get-together at Scorpios, ceremony and reception in Yalıkavak, a live band from Italy and a yacht party from Torba Marina – came to around €170,000 for 58 guests.
Our tip: outside high season – in May, June or September – Bodrum isn’t just more pleasant, it’s often significantly cheaper for venue rentals and hotels. We’re happy to create an individual budget plan for you in a free consultation.
