A weekend in Tuscany

Nina and Mirkan celebrated a wedding weekend in Tuscany with 50 guests: a get-together on the first evening, the wedding the next day.
The celebration took place at Borgo Antico Fattoria Casalbosco, a winery on Montalbano near Pistoia. The Becagli family farms around 150 hectares here, Chianti among other things. From the hills you look out over the valleys between Prato and Pistoia to the Apennines, and Florence isn’t far.
The catering was by Brindapino, a Dolce Vita-style caterer from Tuscany. Instead of only serving at the table, there were stations where guests could watch: a pizza oven, a mozzarella bar and an old Ape as a food truck.
For a wedding with 50 guests this works well. People get up, start talking, and the evening feels less like a programme.
Colourful flowers, round tables, a view over the hills
Tuscany is so popular for weddings because so much is already there: old borghi, wineries, good food and evening light that makes everything look warm.
