We hear this in
almost every first call.

What does a wedding in Italy cost?

It depends so much on region, season, guest count, venue and design that any flat figure on a website would be wrong. You get guide figures for your details in the free consultation.

Lake Como, Tuscany or Puglia?

The regions feel completely different: villas on the lake, vineyards and borghi, white masserie in the south. We show you which one suits your guests, your season and your vibe.

Will it end up looking like every other wedding?

Many villas have a standard set-up you know from a hundred Instagram posts. With us, every wedding starts with its own concept, moodboard and 3D visuals, so you see what it will look like before anything is ordered.

Can we do this without flying out all the time?

Yes. Planning runs over calls, ideally you come once for a site visit, and we coordinate everything else on site. You get everything in German or English.

Puglia

One masseria,
a whole weekend.

At one of our weddings in Apulia: Mastropà Resort near Massafra, with a white courtyard, old olive trees and dinner under the open sky. The ceremony beforehand was at the Santuario Madonna della Scala, a church on the slope of a ravine full of caves.

Masserie are often remote and can be rented exclusively. That is why we plan transfers, lighting and music times from the start.

What it can look like

A wedding weekend
in three chapters.

Lisa & Thomas at the welcome evening on Lake Como

Day 1 · Welcome evening

Everyone has arrived and the evening is long. Wood-fired pizza, aperitivo on the terrace or a boat across the lake: a relaxed start where both families get to know each other.

Kristina & Filip after the ceremony in Sanremo

Day 2 · Ceremony & party

The ceremony at golden hour, then dinner, speeches and the party. Many villas often allow outdoor music only until around midnight, after which the party moves inside. We plan for that from the start.

Day 3 · Pool party or brunch

The day after belongs to you and your guests: brunch, a pool party or a boat along the coast, with a DJ and no schedule.

Behind Kaipo Weddings

We are there,
from the first call to the last song.

I am Büsra, founder of Kaipo Weddings. Before I planned weddings, I came from design, and that is exactly what you notice in our weddings.

With my team I plan every wedding personally and I am on site at the wedding weekend, in Sanremo just as on Lake Como. We negotiate directly with venues and suppliers; you sign the contracts yourselves and pay directly, with no hidden commissions.

That is why we only take on a limited number of weddings each year.

Civil or symbolic ceremony

Getting legally married
in Italy.

Many couples have the civil ceremony at home and a symbolic ceremony in Italy. It is the simplest option legally and leaves you completely free in place and time: in the garden, on the terrace or by the lake.

If you want a civil wedding in Italy, you need, among other things, a certificate of no impediment (the Nulla Osta) and coordination with the municipality where the ceremony takes place. We check together with you which documents apply to your nationality.

Symbolic ceremony

Possible wherever the venue allows it, with your own dramaturgy and celebrant.

Civil ceremony in Italy

With the Nulla Osta, an interpreter and an appointment at the municipality, often in a historic hall of the town hall.

Turkish citizens

What you really need to know is in our guide.

Micro wedding

Small works well in Italy too. We show what that can look like using Lake Como as an example.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about a destination
wedding in Italy.

What does a wedding in Italy cost?

It depends above all on region, season, venue, guest count and design. A villa on Lake Como in July and a masseria in Puglia in September are far apart. We work out guide figures for your details with you in the free consultation; the planning fee is always separate.

Which region in Italy suits us?

Lake Como suits elegant weddings in villas overlooking the water, Tuscany suits wine estates and borghi, Puglia suits masserie with lots of space for a whole weekend, Liguria suits villas above the sea with a short journey via Nice, and the Amalfi Coast suits terraces with a view and more logistics.

Villa, castello, masseria, borgo or palazzo: what is the difference?

A villa is a manor house with a garden, a castello a castle, a masseria a fortified farm estate in the south, a borgo an entire small village and a palazzo a city palace. Many can be booked for exclusive use; some have in-house catering, others work with external caterers. That is exactly what we clarify before you sign.

Can we have a civil wedding in Italy?

Yes, through the municipality with the Nulla Osta and other documents depending on your nationality. Many couples, however, have the civil ceremony at home and a symbolic ceremony in Italy. We check together with you what applies to you.

When is the best time for a wedding in Italy?

The season runs roughly from May to October. June and September are especially popular and book up early. Around Ferragosto in mid-August, much is full and more expensive, and some suppliers take a break. In the south it gets very hot in July and August.

How long can you party at a villa?

Each venue and municipality sets its own rules. Outdoor music often ends at midnight, after which the party continues inside or more quietly. We clarify curfew and volume before booking so your party is not over at 11:59 pm.

Which airports do our guests fly into?

For Lake Como, Milan Malpensa or Linate; for Liguria and Sanremo, usually Nice; for Tuscany, Florence or Pisa; for Puglia, Bari or Brindisi; and for the Amalfi Coast, Naples. We tell your guests which flight suits them before they book.

How early should we plan a wedding in Italy?

For a weekend in peak season at a well-known villa, approx. 12 to 18 months in advance. Smaller venues and weekday dates also work at shorter notice. The earlier you get in touch, the bigger the choice.

Do you work with commissions from suppliers?

No. With Kaipo Weddings you sign the contracts directly with the suppliers and pay them directly as well. There are no hidden commissions; our planning fee is its own separate item.

Is a wedding in Italy more expensive than in Turkey?

Not necessarily. Catering at Turkish luxury hotels is often even more expensive than at renowned venues in Italy, while custom-made furniture and decor are usually cheaper in Turkey. We are happy to compare what makes more sense for your wedding.
