As a wedding planner in Bodrum, we hear it in almost every first call, usually right at the end and a little more quietly: "So… what does a wedding in Bodrum actually cost?" Fair enough. Search for Bodrum wedding cost and you will mostly find all-inclusive packages that have little to do with a luxury wedding, or no numbers at all. Neither helps you plan.
So let's get specific: a budget calculator where you set your own priorities, a real example budget from a destination wedding in Bodrum, Turkey, and the costs nobody mentions until the invoice arrives. Real talk, no sugar-coating.
Calculate your Bodrum wedding cost: our budget calculator
Move the guest count, pick the level that suits you for each line and switch the get-together or yacht party on or off. The figures come from our own weddings in Bodrum.
Have a play with it. You will quickly see which decisions really move the budget: design, catering and whether a band plays. It is rarely the guest count alone.
How much does a wedding in Bodrum cost?
The honest answer: it depends on your priorities. Two couples with the same guest count can end up with completely different budgets in Bodrum, depending on whether the venue charges a hire fee, how elaborate the design is, whether a live band plays and how long the bar stays open.
Our couples celebrate with very different guest counts, from intimate weddings to several hundred guests, often over two or three days. So further down we explain what sits behind each line and show you a real budget. But first, a rough guideline so you have a starting point.
Our guideline: the wedding day plus add-ons
The core is the wedding day. At the high end we work with approx. €1,000 per person and up. Venue, catering, design, music, photo and video are already spread across your guests. We always count photographers and videographers in full on the wedding day, even if they also work on the other days.
It does not scale all the way down, though. Photo, video, music and entertainment cost roughly the same whether 50 or 120 guests come. That is why the wedding day at the high end comes to at least approx. €80,000, even if you only invite 50 guests. This is the entry range: the minimum you need for a wedding at this level, not the average.
Every additional event is not a second full wedding day but an add-on:
- Get-together: approx. €150–350 per person. It depends a lot on the setting. The get-together in our example budget took place in a beach club during normal opening hours, in a cordoned-off area: the group had the space to themselves, but it was not exclusive. An exclusively booked venue costs considerably more.
- Day after (brunch, pool party or yacht): approx. €150–250 per person.
- Transfers: approx. €40 per person.
An example with 70 guests, a get-together and a yacht party the day after:
With its default settings, the budget calculator above lands in the same range, at around €113,000. Our real example budget further down is higher, at around €166,000, because the couple set clear priorities: a photo and video team from Europe, a live band from Italy and the buyout of an entire hotel.
What none of our budgets include: your guests' flights, the dress, the suit, rings, shoes and the wedding planner fee. Hotel rooms for guests only if you deliberately cover them, as in the example further down.
How does the budget change with more guests?
There is no fixed upper limit per head. An ultra-luxury wedding with fewer than 100 guests can come to around €300,000. With more guests the total goes up, but the budget per head tends to fall, because the fixed costs are spread across far more people. A wedding with 700 guests would be back at around €1,000–1,500 per person, depending on your ideas, wishes and priorities.
| Scenario | Budget |
|---|---|
| Under 100 guests, ultra-luxury | approx. €300,000 |
| 70 guests, starting point with get-together and yacht day | approx. €111,000 |
| 700 guests | more like approx. €1,000–1,500 pp |
What drives the cost of a destination wedding in Bodrum?
Venue: hire fee, buyout or catering only?
Not every venue charges a hire fee. Sometimes there is a rental fee or a buyout, for example when you book out an entire hotel. Part of the room costs can then be passed on to your guests.
Many venues, on the other hand, only charge the catering price, sometimes with a minimum spend or a minimum guest count. In Turkey, venues without a hire fee are relatively common, so you do not automatically need a budget for it. The exception: some beach clubs charge rental fees per area in high season, which can be €5,000 to €10,000 per area.
Naked venue: when tables and chairs are missing
One point many couples underestimate: at a naked venue, meaning one with no tables and chairs of its own, the entire set-up comes on top of the budget, meaning furniture hire, transport, set-up and breakdown. That is exactly what happened at the wedding behind this example budget. On paper, an unfurnished venue often looks cheaper. In the end, you simply pay for the furnishing separately.

Catering and alcohol: why drinks are expensive in Turkey
In catering, alcohol is the big lever. Local drinks are much cheaper. Imported alcohol is taxed very heavily in Turkey, which is why alcohol here is expensive in general, far more expensive than in Europe or the US.
Just as important: when and for how long drinks are served. A drinks package until 11pm is a different thing from an open bar with international brands until late into the night. That decision has a huge impact on your budget; in the calculator it sits in the catering level.
Lighting and sound: from €2,500 to €30,000
Basic lighting and sound packages start at approx. €2,500. With more lighting, more sound or a band you are at approx. €6,000 to €7,000. Projections, 3D mapping and truly high-end lighting that creates a completely different atmosphere together with the sound cost approx. €25,000 to €30,000.
How many days do you celebrate, and how?
Every extra day is its own event with its own location, catering and design. For a get-together, budget around €150 to €350 per person, for the day after around €150 to €250 per person. In our guideline, photo and video already sit in the wedding day, even if the team works on several days, so that does not come on top again.
An after-wedding yacht party the day after came to around €10,500 in our example budget, with jet skis, Seabobs, a saxophonist, a DJ, food and drinks. That is roughly €150 per guest. Lovely, but a third event with its own budget.
Design: high-end, luxury detailed or fully customised?
In the calculator we distinguish three design levels. High-end design is clean and pared back. Luxury detailed design does not simply mean more; it is a less minimalist style with lots of customisation in furniture, bar and details. Fully customised high luxury design is entirely custom-made and comes to around €100,000 for 70 to 80 guests, €120,000 to €130,000 for around 120 guests and around €170,000 for 200 to 250 guests.
When design becomes a build: large installations
And then there are weddings where the design budget plays in a completely different league. Large installations can push this line up considerably. One example: if a high-end design is to be built on the beach at Ahama in Göcek, with custom-made stairs, podiums, tables and chairs, you are looking at a design budget of €100,000 to €250,000, depending on the guest count and exactly what you have in mind.
To see what a consistent concept does, look at the blue wedding of Kristina & Filip in Sanremo. The photos are from Italy, not Göcek. But they show exactly what we mean: a design thought through in one colour, from the table to the villa, does not come out of a venue's standard inventory.

Photo, video and music: local or international?
A photo team from Europe, a band from Italy, a DJ from London: that can be exactly the right call. But then you pay not just the fee but flights, hotels and often travel days too. Local suppliers are usually cheaper, as long as you know which ones genuinely work at an international level.
The season: when Bodrum costs less
July and August are peak season in Bodrum: hot, busy, and the venues know it. May, early June, late September and October are not only more comfortable for your guests, they are often noticeably cheaper for venue hire and hotels.

What a real budget looked like: a wedding weekend in Bodrum
Numbers without context are not much use. So here is a real budget from Bodrum, anonymised: 70 guests, a full wedding weekend at a boutique hotel booked out entirely. A get-together with 60 guests on the first evening, the wedding itself on day two with ceremony, dinner and party, and the day after, an after-wedding yacht party out on the water.
About the venue: the couple booked out a boutique hotel entirely, hence the buyout fee. They also covered their guests' accommodation, which is why the rooms are part of this budget. At a venue that only charges the catering price, this line would look very different.
It always comes down to priorities. The couple behind this budget had two very clear ones: their photo and video team was to come from Europe, and their live band from Italy. That is exactly why those lines are higher than in many other budgets.

What stands out in this budget
- Decor and florals are the biggest line, bigger than the venue. That is almost always the case with us, because the design is what makes the difference, not the location alone.
- Catering comes to around €330 per guest for the wedding day. For Bodrum, that is normal rather than expensive.
- Photo and video together come to around €21,000: two photographers and four videographers across both days, including travel costs from Europe. That was a deliberate choice by the couple.
- The live band from Italy comes to around €15,000, with the DJ already included. Live music mattered to the couple, so it got its place in the budget.
- The get-together with 60 guests costs around €17,400, so just under €290 per guest. A get-together is not a quick aperitivo on the side; it is an event in its own right.
- Lighting and sound sit in the budget as their own line at around €7,000. In the evening, this is exactly what decides how the design and the music come across.
- The after-wedding yacht party the next day costs around €10,500, with jet skis, Seabobs, a saxophonist, a DJ, food and drinks. That is a third event with its own budget, not a casual boat trip on the side.
- Transfers came to around €2,800 for all three days. The get-together took place at a different venue, so guests had to be taken there and back to their hotels, and the same again on the yacht day to Torba Marina. On top of that came some airport pick-ups.
Why the wedding planner fee is not in this budget
For a wedding in Bodrum, you absolutely need a wedding planner on your side who negotiates for you. Not for themselves. That sounds obvious, but it is not: suppliers often give the planner a price and tell them to put whatever they like on top and resell it.
So the planner earns on the mediation as well and sells the service on to the couple with a mark-up. That eats into your budget. With the budgets we name in this article, you would not get anywhere that way.
That is exactly why we have deliberately left the planner fee out here and only show the net budget, by the way also without the dress, suit and rings. Because this is what matters: a planner who goes into negotiations for you and gets the best possible price. You then pay the supplier the newly negotiated price directly, 1:1. What hidden costs come with a wedding in Bodrum?
These are the items that never appear in a first quote, yet end up on the table at almost every wedding we plan.
- Curfews and after-party: food and beverage packages usually only run until 11pm. If you want to keep going, you book a separate package, and it is rarely cheap. Get it in the contract: how late the music can play and what each extra hour costs.
- Exclusivity: not every venue can be booked exclusively. If you do not want other hotel guests around or a second wedding next door, that means a buyout or a higher minimum spend.
- Transfers: Milas-Bodrum airport sits on the east of the peninsula, while Yalıkavak and Türkbükü are further west and north. Depending on destination and traffic, that is roughly 35 minutes to an hour each way. Add shuttles between hotel, venue and get-together, often for guests landing at very different times.
- Accommodation: who pays for the rooms? At destination weddings, guests usually cover their own stay. If you pay for some or all of it, that quickly adds a five-figure sum, or six figures at luxury hotels. Or you book out a hotel entirely, and then it sits in the buyout, as in the example budget.
- Wind and Plan B: the Aegean is windy. A Plan B that actually works, whether a marquee, a covered area or a second set-up, costs money even if you never use it.
- Deliveries and set-up: some venues only allow deliveries and set-up at night or in tight time slots. That means more crew, more hours, more cost.

Where can you save on a wedding in Bodrum?
Saving on a luxury wedding does not mean doing a little less everywhere. It means setting priorities: where should it be truly great, and where is good enough?
What we do not recommend: cutting back on lighting, on Plan B or on the number of service staff. Those are exactly the points where a wedding tips over, and everyone can see it.
A good budget is not the smallest one. It is the one where every euro shows up somewhere.Kaipo Weddings
Who is a Bodrum wedding not right for?
If you want a long guest list, full design and a late open bar, but the budget for it is on the small side, Bodrum gets tight, at least at the level of design and service we are talking about here. In that case, a shorter guest list is often a better answer than a watered-down concept.
Bodrum makes sense if you want to combine your wedding with a holiday and your guests stay for several days. What a weekend like that looks like in practice is in our article on a weddings in Bodrum. For venue options, see our 12 top wedding venues in Bodrum.

FAQ: Bodrum wedding cost and wedding planners
How much does a wedding in Bodrum with 70 guests cost?
As a starting point, we work with approx. €1,000 per person for the wedding day, but at least approx. €80,000. Add-ons come on top: get-together approx. €150–350 pp, day after approx. €150–250 pp, transfers approx. €40 pp. For 70 guests with a get-together and a yacht party, that comes to around €111,000. Our real example budget with 70 guests came to around €166,000, with a team from Europe, a live band from Italy and the buyout of a boutique hotel including rooms for the guests. The budget calculator above shows how your own scenario changes.
How much does a destination wedding in Bodrum, Turkey cost for 100 or 150 guests?
As a rough guide from our model: for 100 guests the wedding day starts at approx. €100,000, for 150 guests at approx. €150,000, so from approx. €1,000 per person in both cases. With a get-together, a day after and transfers, a destination wedding in Bodrum with 100 guests lands at roughly €135,000–165,000, with 150 guests at roughly €200,000–250,000. A photo and video team from Europe, a live band or fully customised design push that up. In the budget calculator above you can set your guest count directly.
What does a small wedding in Bodrum with 30 to 50 guests cost?
At the high-end level we are talking about here, the minimum of approx. €80,000 for the wedding day applies even with a small guest list. Photo, video, music and entertainment cost almost the same whether 40 or 100 people come. With 40 guests, that works out at around €2,000 per person. If you want to keep the budget lower, you save more through fewer events and local suppliers than through an even shorter guest list.
How much does an Indian wedding in Bodrum cost?
An Indian wedding in Bodrum usually runs over several days and three to four events: Mehndi or Haldi, Sangeet, Baraat and Pheras, Reception. Often with 200 to 500 guests or more. As a rough guide from our model: for the main day we work with approx. €1,000 per person, and every further event comes on top as an add-on. With 300 guests over three to four events, you land at roughly €350,000–450,000 and upwards. The total budget rises with the guest count, but the cost per head tends to fall because fixed costs are spread more widely. On top come items other weddings do not have: the mandap and fire permits, the Baraat with a horse or car including permits, Indian chefs and vegetarian or Jain catering, more set-up and décor days, and a large hotel or resort with enough rooms for everyone. We plan Indian weddings with several hundred guests. Where exactly you land depends on how many events you celebrate and where your priorities lie.
How much does a wedding planner in Bodrum cost?
We deliberately do not give a fixed number here, because it depends on the guest count, the number of events and the workload. What matters more than the amount is the model behind it. Some planners work on commission: the supplier quotes a price, the planner adds a mark-up and resells it, and you never see what the service really costs. With a transparent fee, you pay the planner to negotiate for you, and you pay the suppliers directly, 1:1, at the negotiated price. That is how we work as a Bodrum wedding planner. Ask every planner you speak to whether they take commission from suppliers.
What is included in this budget and what is not?
Included is everything that makes up the wedding on the ground: venue, catering and drinks, décor and florals, photo and video, music, lighting and sound, celebrant, cake, styling and transfers. Not included are the wedding planner fee, the dress, the suit, rings, shoes and your guests' flights. Guest hotel rooms are only in it if you book out a whole hotel or deliberately cover the rooms, as in our €166,000 example budget.
Do we pay for our guests' hotel rooms?
That is your call. At destination weddings, guests usually pay for their own stay, often at group rates negotiated with the hotels. If you cover the rooms, that comes on top of the wedding budget. If you book out a hotel entirely, it sits in the venue buyout, as in our example budget.
How much is a Bodrum wedding for couples from the US or UK?
The costs on the ground are the same. Many high-end venues and suppliers price in euros, so couples from the US or UK carry the exchange-rate risk on top. Build in a buffer and agree early on which currency you pay in and when.
Which costs do couples from the UK and US usually underestimate?
Five in particular. Alcohol, because imported brands are taxed very heavily in Turkey and a long open bar pushes catering up considerably. Transfers, because Milas-Bodrum airport is 35 minutes to an hour away depending on where you stay, plus shuttles between hotel and venues, around €40 per person. Travel costs for flown-in suppliers, meaning flights, hotels and travel days for photographers, a band or a DJ. Exclusivity, because no other guests next door means a buyout or a higher minimum spend. And the after-party: F&B packages usually run until 11pm, and every extension costs extra.
Is a wedding in Bodrum cheaper than in Italy?
Not automatically, at least not at the high end. Catering at luxury hotels in Turkey is often even more expensive than at renowned venues in Italy. And imported alcohol is taxed very heavily in Turkey, so a long open bar with international brands costs noticeably more here. On the other hand, venues without a hire fee are fairly common in Turkey, and custom-made pieces such as lounges, bars or stages are often cheaper. If you fly in photographers, a band or a DJ from Europe, you pay flights, hotels and travel days in either country. For the same budget you often get more design and experience in Bodrum, but not the same wedding at half the price.
When is the cheapest time for a wedding in Bodrum?
In the shoulder season: May, early June, late September and October. July and August are peak season, with the highest venue and hotel prices and temperatures above 35°C.
How early should we book to save on costs?
For Bodrum, plan on around a year of lead time, more for July, August and sought-after venues. Booking early does not automatically save money, but it gives you more choice: venues without a hire fee or with a lower minimum spend go faster, and good local suppliers get booked up earlier. If you are late, you more often have to fall back on pricier options or fly suppliers in. The biggest lever, though, is the date: May, early June, late September and October are cheaper than peak season, and a weekday often is too.
How much does a get-together the evening before cost in Bodrum?
We work with approx. €150 to €350 per person, depending on the setting. In the example budget, the get-together with 60 guests came to around €17,400, just under €290 per guest, in a separate area of a beach club during normal opening hours. If you want the venue exclusively, it costs considerably more. Transfers between the hotel and the get-together venue come on top.
The bottom line: what will your destination wedding in Bodrum cost?
A wedding in Bodrum is not cheap, and we are not going to tell you otherwise. But it is predictable. The budget calculator shows you what each priority costs, the real example budget shows where the money goes, and the hidden costs give you a checklist for every quote you receive.
