Maçakızı sits in Türkbükü on the northern coast of the peninsula, a hotel with wooden decks over the water, a Michelin-starred kitchen and art in the rooms. A Maçakızı Bodrum wedding means a ceremony at sunset, dinner on the deck and a party at the bar until 3 am, in a place that has drawn artists, musicians and yachts for decades.
Here you can read where the house comes from, how the wedding day runs according to the current offer, how we develop a design there that suits the place, and what a wedding weekend costs. Plus Villa Maçakızı, the private sister house, as a venue of its own. All figures are starting prices and exclude the planner fee; the hotel prices come from the current offer for September 2026 and may change.
Maçakızı: queen of spades, wooden decks and art
Maçakızı means queen of spades. That was the nickname of Ayla Emiroğlu, who opened a small guesthouse with a private beach in Bodrum in 1977 and gathered a crowd of artists, musicians and travellers around her. Her son Sahir Erozan carries the house on, since 2000 as a boutique hotel on the bay of Türkbükü.
The hotel steps down the hillside in terraces and ends in wooden decks built over the sea. Erozan himself says Maçakızı was the first beach club in Bodrum built around docks. The lobby, made of steel clad in recycled wood from mountain villages and with four fireplaces, is by the architect Ahmet Alataş. Works by the Turkish artist Suat Akdemir hang in the rooms and suites.
For your guests, the restaurant matters most: chef Aret Sahakyan cooks Mediterranean and Turkish food, the restaurant holds a Michelin star, and dinner is served outdoors under hundred-year-old olive trees. On top of that there is a spa with a hammam, a small cinema, a champagne room and the hotel’s own motorboat and boat taxi.

Who is a Maçakızı Bodrum wedding right for?
- For 100 to 150 guests: this is the range in which the hotel takes weddings, with a room allocation for most of your guests.
- For couples who would rather party than pose: Maçakızı is not a palace but a place with history and attitude. According to the offer, the party runs until 3 am.
- For guests who care about food: a wedding dinner from a Michelin-starred kitchen is not a banquet menu.

The wedding day as quoted: four phases
The hotel plans the wedding day in four phases, which are booked separately. The ceremony comes with the compliments of the house; dinner, after-party and the late meal have fixed prices per person.
According to the offer, the hotel adds two nights in a sea-view villa suite for the couple, a hammam for two, breakfast in the room and a bottle of champagne.

Design: a concept for this place, not a standard set-up
A house full of art does not need decor that shouts against it. For Maçakızı we develop a concept that works with the decks, the wood and the light over the bay, not against them. A few ideas of what that can look like:
- The table as an exhibition: one long table across the deck, curated like a gallery, with ceramics, sculpture and light instead of mountains of flowers.
- The queen of spades as a quiet motif: in the stationery, on the menu cards or as a seal, never as a costume party.
- Arrival from the water: the hotel has its own motorboat. We plan the arrival so that it suits the ceremony and does not feel like a show.
- After hours at the bar: from 11 pm the dinner turns into a night at the bar, with a late-night dinner and a set that carries until 3 am.
The tables below show what a consistent concept feels like: Kristina & Filip in Sanremo from above and a masseria wedding in Puglia at dusk.

How much does a wedding at Maçakızı, Bodrum cost?
The budget has two parts: the room allocation and the wedding itself. According to the current offer, the hotel requires at least 35 rooms for at least 2 nights. Rooms cost from €500 per night with a garden view and €600 with a sea view, suites and villa suites €800 to €1,500, each with breakfast and a return airport transfer, plus 10% VAT, 6% service and 2% accommodation tax.
Room allocation as quoted
We calculate the wedding budget for a wedding weekend with 2 events and 100 guests. The wedding-day lines come from the hotel’s offer, where they are stated net. The offer has no price for the welcome evening, so we use our guide figures for it, as well as for design, photo and video and music, as in the cost of a destination wedding in Turkey. The tables show starting prices: minimalist design, mid-class photo and video teams.

Together
As a starting price, the wedding weekend with 100 guests therefore comes to approx. €174,000 without rooms and approx. €216,000 to €224,000 with the room allocation. With opulent design at both events, a band, a live act and fireworks, and top photo and video teams, you are closer to approx. €306,000 without rooms. With 150 guests it is mainly dinner, the after-party and design that grow. The planner fee, flights and outfits are not included. Alternative venue: Villa Maçakızı
Villa Maçakızı is not part of the hotel but a house of its own on Paradise Bay, designed with the designer Barbara Pensoy, with a Seventies feel and modern touches. It is only rented as a whole, for at least 3 nights, and can itself be the venue of your wedding: an intimate wedding or a wedding weekend with your closest guests staying in the house.
The villa has its own chef, Carlo Bernardini, who cooks for you. You plan the menu for dinner, brunch and the evening by the pool directly with him rather than choosing from a banquet list. For the design we work with the house, not against it: long tables by the pool, light over the water, guests arriving via the private dock.
Villa Maçakızı
Ten rooms with a sea view and a balcony or terrace, an infinity pool, a private dock, two hammams, a sauna, a gym, the villa’s own chef and butlers in the house, a wine cellar and a bar.
For 3 nights in the villa you are therefore looking at approx. €136,000 in May or October and approx. €163,000 in July or August according to the price list, with breakfast, before food, design and team are added. We work out with you what a wedding in the villa costs in full in the free consultation.
